LWR Rescue stories....
the reason for it all!
Happy Holidays everyone. Wow- I
have been so busy I have hardly had time to send you a note and let you
know how much my life has changed. You may not remember me, but I was
that pitiful boy with the bad hairdo, brown boots on my feet, and
lugging around some serious baggage. Well, I am here to tell you that
now, “It’s a Wonderful Life!”
We have been very busy around here
since I arrived at my forever home. We have traveled, gone on walks,
worked in the yard, made friends with the resident cat (Tom Tom), and
played, played, played. The first week I was here, Birdy’s sister got
sick and she had to take me with her to Lufkin in an emergency. She
snuck me in the hotel in a suitcase and boy was it fun.
Before it got cold, we worked in
the yard and planted flowers. For Thanksgiving, my grandparents came to
visit and Betty even called me her Grand-dog. Very cool.
Birdy and CC, my two new moms have
had me helping out putting up the tree, hanging lights, and wrapping
presents. Finally, it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas around
here. Wow- this is fun and today, I played in the snow (OK, it was
sleet, but it was fun). I tippy-toed through the ice on the grass. Yuk.
Upon my arrival here in Texas, I
settled right in. I now own the couch and have two beds (thrones). CC
works from home, so I follow her around all day. I have my own basket of
toys and have quite a collection of remote controlled cars that I
LUUUUUV to chase around. When I tucker out, all I have to do is collapse
and roll over and belly rubs appear. These two have been pretty easy to
trainJ
I pass my time watching the cat,
finding and carrying around Birdy and CC’s socks, and playing some
serious chase. My skin is getting better all the time and I started our
wearing t-shirts so I wouldn’t scratch, but I look so darn cute that
people just keep on shopping for me and I have quite a wardrobe now. I
heard Birdy and CC say that they were blessed to have found me, but I
think we are all blessed. I also heard them say I am definitely all
B-O-Y.
CC told me that my brother Chip
went away and I was so sad, but knew he had been hurting. I am so
thankful for Momma Laura and her husband in Louisiana. She took us both
in and took such good care of us. Maddie and Tucker were so nice to
share them with us and we will never forget any of them. Birdy said we
could all go on a road trip to visit them. Wheeee. I love to ride in the
car. Did I tell you I have my own car seat. I am living large. I hope
you all have as Merry of a Christmas as we are having here. Gotta
run..bath time.
Love, Daley
